Every wedding is a love story, but some feel like they’ve been plucked straight from the pages of a fairytale. Stephanie and James’ magical day at Wildwoodz in Inverness was exactly that—a wedding filled with wonder, laughter, and a touch of enchantment.
A Morning of Love (and Bacon!)
The day began in the best way possible—with bacon rolls! One of the guests took on the very important role of ensuring everyone had a hearty breakfast before the celebrations began. It’s something I always remind couples: Make sure you eat! Weddings are long days, and you don’t want to be running on empty.
Upstairs in the incredible treehouse bridal suite, the talented Andrea Maxwell was already busy working her magic on the bridal party. With no electricity or running water to rely on, she came fully prepared, ensuring Stephanie and her bridal party looked absolutely radiant. And speaking of radiant—I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride beam quite like Stephanie did. Her joy was infectious!
Before the final touches, there was one last detail to complete the look. Stephanie’s mum lovingly sewed a tiny trinket into her wedding dress—a sentimental touch that made the gown even more special. And what a dress it was! Fit for a fairy princess, complete with a fresh flower headband, it perfectly complemented the magic of the day.
A Groom in Hagrid’s Hut
Meanwhile, James was getting ready in the most unique of settings—Hagrid’s Hut! With his dad by his side, he donned his Scottish attire, adding to the traditional charm of the occasion. It’s always lovely to capture these quiet moments before the big “I do.”
A Ceremony Among the Wildflowers
If ever there was a setting for a dreamlike ceremony, this was it. Nestled among wildflowers, surrounded by nature, and officiated by James’ father, it couldn’t have been more personal or heartfelt. Every glance, every smile, and every moment felt so authentically them—pure joy and love in its truest form.
And when it was time for the big celebratory exit? Forget confetti—Stephanie and James opted for bubbles! Watching them float through the air as the newlyweds walked through their guests was nothing short of magical.
A Celebration to Remember
What followed was a party that could make anyone jealous—filled with laughter, love, and the happiest of memories being made. It was a day I’ll never forget and a couple I feel truly lucky to have captured.
Stephanie & James, I wish you all the happiness in the world!
