This was my first time as a photographer at Meldrum House Hotel and what a wedding to start with! The joy of this wedding was in full flow and I for one was basking in the happiness. Where do I begin to tell you about this wedding.
Lets start at the beginning. I first met Kerry and Alan when we met to discuss their big day. I could feel the love between them and even then and I knew straight away that their day would be one to remember, how right I was. Both of them had a vision and knew exactly what they were looking for and I fitted into their plan perfectly for a relaxed and natural wedding. Jessica, the couples daughter, was a little unsure of me as a photographer and a stranger to her but between this first meeting and the wedding thankfully we have had a few shoots from Christmas to family shoots and it has been a delight to gain Jessica's trust so on the big day, she was used to having me around.
I arrived on the morning of the wedding to the sound of laughter. Everything was in full swing for the bride and her party getting ready and everything was just perfect, the shoes, the dress and what really caught my attention was how bright the colours were in the beautiful bouquet! Every part of this day had been planned to perfection and it was such an honour to be a part of the festivities.
Time to get ready! Kerry was picture perfect! the dress from With this Dress in Lossiemouth was just the perfect dress to compliment Kerry. Absolute bridal perfection! Complete with bouquet in hand which she told me was beautifully a tribute to Alans mum who couldn't be at the wedding she was all set to walk down the isle to her best friend.
The ceremony was equally beautiful. I had a little tear in my eye as did many of the guests, the ceremony was beautifully put together and had a special element which was such a lovely personal touch of building a jigsaw of the whole family becoming complete and together forever. The coming together of a family is something special to capture with a camera.
After the ceremony came to a close guests were treated to some lovely canapes from the Hotel and I had the pleasure to whisk away Kerry and Alan to grab some photos of just the two of them. The stunning venue made for an easy background and as it was a rather chilly -1 degrees in January it was a delight to have a venue that had both inside and outside locations to use for the perfect backdrop.
Onto the dance, Paul T DJ was as always brilliant and this gave a fantastic opportunity to get photos of not just the very romantic first dance but lots of guests on the dancefloor and it wouldn't be Paul T if there wasn't laughter involved.
Kerry and Alan I thankyou with every part of my heart for letting me be a part of your wedding day. Every single moment was a pleasure and I hope for years to come that you and your family will treasure the moments that I managed to capture. I wish you all the happiness in the world for years to come.
